The Sunshine Blogger Award #3

Hey everybody!! Today I’m going to be doing the Sunshine Blogger Award for the 3rd time! Thank you so much to Charlotte @ Bewitching Books, Ravenous Reads for tagging me!!

Charlotte tagged me in December of last year, and it’s April of this year, and I know that I’m a mess, and I’m working on that. Honestly, I kind of miss doing tags, because they are so easy, kind of generic, and they’re fun ways to engage with the blogging community. I don’t know why I stopped them before.

Anyways, this is my third Sunshine Award and I’m really touched that I’ve been tagged for it 3 times! Thank you guys so much!! You can see my previous one’s here and here.

Let’s get started!

Tag Thursday – Unpopular Opinion Book Tag

Hi friends! Welcome to another Tag Thursday. I found today’s tag @ The Book Nut. Considering that fact that I read a lot of popular books and sometimes hate them, I thought this would be a perfect tag to do.

*A popular book you didn’t like:

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I absolutely hate that book and there is no reason for me to write a review, because everyone else has already ranted about the book for me.

*A book series that everyone hates but you love:

I don’t think I love a series that everyone else hates 😃

*A love triangle where the MC ends up with the person you didn’t want them to end up with:

The Gilded Cage by Lucinda Gray. I hated both characters because I didn’t even know them and didn’t want her to end up with either of them.

*A popular genre you rarely reach for:

Fantasy. Everybody in the bookish world seems to love fantasy and I don’t.

*A popular character you didn’t like:

Hannah from Thirteen Reasons Why. Again.

*A popular author you can’t seem to get into:

J. K. Rowling. I don’t like fantasy and I haven’t read Harry Potter even though I’ve heard A LOT about it.

*A popular trope you’re tired of seeing:

Insta-love and love triangles. I think everyone can agree on this one.

*A popular series you have no interest in reading:

Harry Potter.

*The saying goes “the book is always better than the movie” but what movie do you prefer to the book?

All the book-to-movie adaptations I’ve watched are so unbearably terrible. I read Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson and I watched the movie, but I think they were both fairly okay. If anything, the book was slightly better.

And that’s it for this Thursday! I tag*:

Kim @ Read with Kim, Ella @ Ella’s Book Corner, Kym @ Hey Kymmie, Ashley @ Bubbly Booknerd, Kay @ Hammock of Books, Jenn @ Jenniely, and anyone else who wants to do it!

*Note: No pressure. If you don’t want to do it, you don’t have to! 😃💖
