Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, hosted by Ambrosia @ The Purple Booker, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading. It is very easy to play along:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
I’m currently reading:
Title: Camino Island – Author: John Grisham
“Writers are generally split into two camps: those who carefully outline their stories and know the ending before they begin, and those who refuse to do so upon the theory that once a character is created he or she will do something interesting.”
“Some writers are seasoned raconteurs with an endless supply of stories and quips and one-liners. Others are reclusive and introverted souls who labor in their solitary worlds and struggle to mix and mingle.”
Top Ten Tuesday
Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.
Today’s topic is: Book Wish-list
Instead, I’m doing an end of year thankful list. Here are the top five things I’m thankful for.
My Family: They’re amazing, understanding, and have been so encouraging about my endeavors to be both a blogger and writer! This includes my extended family as we are all super close. I love you! 💖
My Education: School is hard. I’m not gonna lie but for 3/4 of the year, I hate school so very much. But right now, I’m thankful for what I’m learning because it will eventually help me out in life.
My Books: What would the world be like without books? I can’t even quite wrap my head around such a possibility. So thank you books for being there to lift me when I fell, to be my friend when I had none, and for not judging me when everyone else did.
My Home: I recently watched a documentary on people and their kids who were about to lose their homes. It made me realize how much I have and I’m so very thankful for. I’m thankful that I have a roof over my head, food to eat, and that I live in financial security.
My Life: I’m thankful that I’m alive. Alive to meet new and interesting people, alive to contribute my share to humanity, alive to live this life to its fullest.
What are you all thankful for? Let’s chat in the comments below.
