What I Just Finished:
Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms: Both were spectacular, though EoS has some scenes and went from YA to NA. Honestly, the ending of EoS absolutely surprised me and I still can’t really believe it. We also got so many awesome women, men, males, and females and I’m so so happy about that.
Ink and Bone: This was really good and I’m curious to see what happens next. Jess was an interesting MC and I liked how he had amazing friendships with all the other characters. The plot and idea is awesome as well. I just wish that the other characters had a more prominent and active role in the story.
What I’m Currently Reading:
Just started this, and so far so good. Though she keeps rambling off with little side notes and I’m kind of annoyed and amused by this at the same time.
What I Plan To Read Next:
Next up is The Chain by Adrian McKinty.

What I Just Finished:
Heir of Fire was really great. It was amazing seeing Celaena become the person that she is meant to be. And I absolutely loved the witches!! I can’t wait to see what happens to them in the later books! I didn’t really enjoy Chaol/Aedion’s point of view nor did I really care about what was happening in Rifthold until the end.
The Turn of the Key was also great. I enjoyed the suspense and the atmosphere created by all the weird things going on. I was honestly anxious enough that I stopped reading when night fell lol. But the more I think about the ending, the more it doesn’t make sense, and I wish it had been explained better.
I picked up This Is Where It Ends on a whim, and I kind of enjoyed it. The horrors of what was going on was so heartbreaking, and to know that it happens in real life rather frequently is so sad and outrageous. However, the characters were really flat and both Autumn and Claire annoyed me. Tomas, Sylv, and Matt were the only ones that I liked. I also didn’t really like how Tyler was portrayed. Overall, it was meh.
What I’m Currently Reading:
Queen of Shadows (11%): I’m seriously upset with Chaol right now. And I used to love him. His confrontation with Aelin went so badly, and I honestly wished she’d punched him maybe once, because obviously his ears are not working right.
What I Plan To Read Next:
Next up is either Ink and Bone, Empire of Storms, or Memory Man.

Note: I’ve been rather MIA lately. I’m behind on blog posts, comments, and blog hopping. All my amazing plans to write so many posts and be productive over the Winter break have flown right out the window. And well, I’m disappointed about that, but I ended up having a great time with my family, and I hope you all did too!
I’m going to work on catching up on all the posts and comments that I’ve missed, hopefully starting today. And I can’t wait to tell you guys about something amazing that happened this past December, and my plans for January and 2020 as a whole (coming in my wrap-up post)!! I’m equally nervous and excited.
So, basically I apologize for disappearing, and I am work on catching up on everything 💚
Since I missed last week’s WWW (and the last of the year and decade!!!!), I’m going to be talking about all the books I’ve read since my last WWW post on the 18th of December.
Now, let’s get started!

What I Just Finished:
I managed to finish 98 books last year. Didn’t get to 100, but that’s alright, because I read 98 and that’s still an awesome number.
Capturing the Devil: This book was a disaster. Not a complete disaster, but still a disaster. The ridiculous twists, and the reveal at the end made no sense at all, and I was so frustrated with Audrey Rose. Being in her head is painful, because she thinks the exact same thing a hundred different ways. I’m just so glad that this series is over, and I honestly can’t see why I liked it in the first place. There were some good parts too (Liza, Daci, and Illeana met and their friendship is YESSS!!!), but overall, this was still a disappointing finale to this series.
The Late Show: Pretty good. I liked Renée and the mystery of who did it, as well as the rogue cop aspect. However, it just wasn’t a five star, and I wished that Renée had a partner to help her with the investigation.
I Hate Weddings: This was short, a little sweet, but also rather annoying. I don’t think MG books are for me.
Our House: This was great. I liked the alternating storylines, and the ending was super satisfactory. I didn’t like Fi much, but I understood her passion to protect her kids. Bram was the one I sympathized with the most, and I really hoped that he would be saved. It was really sad reading the story from his POV.
The Lincoln Lawyer: It was great. Not really memorable, but I enjoyed the legal drama, and liked some of the characters.
Ayesha At Last: This had pretty good representation. I liked the drama, and Khalid’s awkwardness. However, some of the characters annoyed me to no end, mainly Hafsa, and I didn’t like how everything was handled at the end. It was cute at times, annoying at others, and that ending wasn’t really good.
The Queen of Nothing: In two words: I’m disappointed. What. Happened. To. This. Book? Where is the plot?? All the snake drama happened, yes, but where did the amazing back-stabby political landmine plot go?? This book was so short, and it was so tame compared to The Wicked King, and I’ve been so hyped for this disappointment. I’m just really disappointed.
Standstill: I got this book for review from Reedsy, and I didn’t like it much at all. The idea was great, but the execution just wasn’t good.

Just started Heir of Fire. Hopefully this will be great!
What I Plan To Read Next:
Next up is The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware and Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine.

What I Just Finished:
Mistborn: The Final Empire: I guess you could say that the hype is real for this one. I really liked this, and all the characters. Ham, and Vin were my favorites, and I loved how Vin changed throughout the story. Kell was amazing because he’s a madman and a genius, as well as a phenomenal leader. But I still want to be mad at him for what he did. Elend’s potential as a character was ruined, and I am still mad about that, but overall this was really great.
Lock Every Door: This is a thriller and not really a mystery. The mystery wasn’t that great, and pretty much all of my suspicions and guesses were correct, so it was really meh because of that. However, I loved having Jules as the narrator, because I could feel her fear, and the atmosphere combined with her fear made this such a thrilling book. It was still disappointing, because the hype made me expect more.
Hungry Hearts: My hold is over. I managed to finish it up to 41% but now I’m going to have wait to borrow it again.
What I’m Currently Reading:
Capturing the Devil (24%): So far so good. That twist. I did not see that coming (which I don’t most of the time lol) but it makes sense and I’m curious to see what else happens. And Audrey Rose has gotten a grip about Thomas so I’m happy about that.
Blingsighted (0%): I’m going to start this, and hopefully it’ll be good! I’ve heard so much about Karin Slaughter’s thrillers, and I’m so excited to finally try one of her books.

Next up is The Late Show and Ninth House.

What I Just Finished:
Crooked Kingdom: I’m so happy everything turned out okay except for you know what. Why Bardugo? Why? That was pretty heartbreaking, and just awful. But I’m glad that everyone got what they wanted at the end. You can check out my possibly spoilery non-official review on GR. (Read: Nov 20)
The Bookish Life of Nina Hill was kind of disappointing. I was just left with a sense of wanting more. However, the story was pretty good. It wasn’t remarkable or anything, and it did try to cover too many subplots all at once without properly doing just one, but it was still a fun read. (Read: Nov 23)
The Long Game was amazing, and I loved all the twists. Even though this was my 3rd reread, I was still surprised and absolutely enjoyed reading this all over again. Asher, Tess, Vivvie, and Henry, they are all amazing characters. (Read: Nov 25)
That was a surprise. Crown of Midnight was so so so much better than Throne of Glass and I’m surprised. I didn’t expect this at all, and I loved how it showed more of Celaena’s assassin side, rather than just telling us how amazing she is. But I wish this mess with Chaol never happened. He doesn’t really deserve this. (Read: Dec 1)
I finished The Gilded Wolves last night, and even though I can see why it gets compared to SoC, I think it’s different in it’s own way. I really liked Zofia and Enrique, and eventually Hypnos (he’s very hard to not like), and Tristan reminded me so much of Wylan and I loved it. The heists are spectacular, and I loved how Chokshi incorporated history and math into it. It made it so much more fun to solve. (Read: Dec 3)

I’m currently reading Hungry Hearts, and I’ll be starting The Lines We Cross hopefully later today.
What I Plan To Read Next:
Next up is The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson, and Lock Every Door by Riley Sager.
