So, I know that we’ve all been super excited about ending the miserable year that was 2020 and not to rain on anyone’s parade…but it’s officially 2021 and it’s raining, covid is still out there, and I still can’t go out just for the fun of it without worrying about sanitizers and masks.
Obviously, the first day of 2021 is not going to be a magic fix, but it’s a little underwhelming.
Why am I being so pessimistic early in the morning 🤦🏾♀️ i blame the rain. it’s so dreary and gray right now
Good morning friends!!! Welcome back to Let’s Talk Bookish, the first one of 2021!! As always, Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme, that is hosted by me and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend. I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving break so I can chill out a little bit, write posts, read a lot, and just in general have a great time.
Anyway, it’s Friday Saturday and that means I’m late for this week’s Let’s Talk Bookish. But that’s okay, it’s better late than never. For those of you who are new, Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme, hosted by me and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.
This week’s question is: When are reading breaks a good idea?(suggested by Lydia @ Lydia Schoch)
Thank you so much to Lydia for suggesting this topic! As I seem to be on an extended semi reading break, I do have some thoughts on this topic, so let’s get started!
Hello everyone and welcome back! It is time for another Let’s Talk Bookish discussion. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme, that is hosted by me and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.
Today’s topic is: How To Encourage Others To Read (suggested by Rian @ Dogs and Books)
This is an excellent question. I previously had a very naive belief about to how to do this, but after a little bit of experience trying to convince someone to read, I have a different perspective on this. Thank you so much to Rian for suggesting this topic, and without further ado, let’s get started!
Hey friends! I hope you are having a fantastic day! It is time for my weekly reading update, WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words.
The Three W’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Let’s get started!
All covers are from Goodreads
What I Just Finished:
Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms: Both were spectacular, though EoS has some scenes and went from YA to NA. Honestly, the ending of EoS absolutely surprised me and I still can’t really believe it. We also got so many awesome women, men, males, and females and I’m so so happy about that.
Ink and Bone: This was really good and I’m curious to see what happens next. Jess was an interesting MC and I liked how he had amazing friendships with all the other characters. The plot and idea is awesome as well. I just wish that the other characters had a more prominent and active role in the story.
What I’m Currently Reading:
Just started this, and so far so good. Though she keeps rambling off with little side notes and I’m kind of annoyed and amused by this at the same time.
What I Plan To Read Next:
Next up is The Chain by Adrian McKinty.
That’s it for this Wednesday. What are you reading? Have you read Ink and Bone? What did you think? Did the side characters feel very left out, to you, in the story? Let’s chat in the comments below! (Be sure to link to your WWW’s so that I can check them out!)
