400 Followers Q&A Form + The Liebster Award #3 // ft. me being unsure as always

Hey everyone!! I hope you guys are doing great! I’m back today with the form for my 400 followers Q&A and my 3rd take on The Liebster Award.

I was tagged for the award back in January by the amazing Jane @ Blogger Books, and in total Rukky fashion, here I am finally doing it 8 months later. Many thanks to Jane for tagging me!! These questions are pretty reflective, so we’ll see how it goes.

But first, be sure to fill out my 400 follower Q&A form so I can do a Q&A!! (it’d be really sad if I get only 3 questions lol) I do have some feedback questions at the start, but none of it is required except the one where you ask me your questions. What I Just Finished:

I didn’t finish anything this past week. However, I reviewed The Bridge of Little Jeremy by Indrajit Garai on Monday! You can check out my review here. I also didn’t review Keep You Close by Karen Cleveland yesterday, but I’ll try to do that tomorrow!

I also DNF’d Captive Witness because I don’t want to ruin my happy memories of Nancy and I don’t have the patience or time to continue either. I was only 24 pages in and I was frustrated with the story-telling and the superhero moments so I’m definitely going to pass.

What I’m Currently Reading:

I am 132 pages in and so far I’m liking it. I’m curious about Stone’s past, and also intrigued by the story. No one seems to have the same theory that I have, which is frustrating, but hopefully, someone will eventually think of it! Or I’ll be proven wrong…

What I Plan To Read Next:

My library copy is ready, so up next, I’m reading The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton! By the way, is it me or does the book have two different titles?

What I Just Finished:

I finished The Bridge of Little Jeremy last night. It was a an okay story with good characters, but I thought it was a bit too long. My review should be up, hopefully, sometime later this week!

I also finished Keep You Close by Karen Cleveland and really liked it! The mystery was intense, and the conspiracy plot a lot bigger than what it originally seemed. My review should be up next Monday! (07/22)

Finally, I also finished Look For Me by Lisa Gardner. I loved the characters, the mystery kept me guessing, and the ending was neatly wrapped up. My review should be up, hopefully, by next Friday! (07/26)

I haven’t actually started reading Hell’s Corner by David Baldacci yet, but I plan on doing so later today.

I’ve gotten through the first chapter of Captive Witness and it’s hilarious because Nancy and the story are kind of old fashioned. Hopefully, I will still enjoy the mystery!

What I Plan To Read Next:

Next up, I want to read Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco. Hopefully, I’ll have finished both of my current reads first, and caught up on my reviews before I start this!!

What I Just Finished:

My latest read was Trust Me, I’m Lying by Mary Elizabeth Summer. This was predictable and a bit implausible. I also didn’t like Julep so this was a 2.75 star. Review will be up next Monday.

What I’m Currently Reading:

I’m 36% into The Bridge of Little Jeremy, which I’m reading for review. I was given a copy of this by Estelle, a friend of the author. So far, it’s okay. I’m getting bored, and just want to skip to the end to find out what happens so I’ve decided to take a quick break from it.

My hold for Keep You Close by Karen Cleveland came in two days ago. The summary is interesting and I plan on starting it today.

I went to the library yesterday!! And I only got 3 books lol. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to the library and gotten real physical books so I’m kind of excited. I usually read e-books from the library.

I got Hell’s Corner by David Baldacci just because I had no idea what to get and I randomly pulled it off the shelf right before I left. Hopefully, I won’t be disappointed by this as I was with Long Road to Mercy.

I also randomly pulled Look For Me by Lisa Gardner off the shelf. It’s book 9 in the Detective D.D. Warren series, and I hope this can be read as a stand-alone.

Captive Witness by Carolyn Keene is the last book I got. I’m pretty sure I’ve read it, since I’ve read the ~30 other Nancy Drew books that my library has (and probably well over a 100 in my lifetime), but I snatched it anyway. I hope I still enjoy it!

Top Ten Tuesday – Places Mentioned In Books That I’d Like to Visit

Hello! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme originally created by The Broke and The Bookish, and is now hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today’s topic is: Places Mentioned In Books That I’d Like to Visit (submitted by Georgia @ Just Read Them)

I love travelling, and visiting/living in countries besides the US is a goal of mine anybody got some spare cash to give to a wannabe traveler? Today, I’m listing seven places from books that I would love to visit.

Let’s get started.

*Green Gables. As soon as I started reading about Anne, I wanted to visit Prince Edward Island and see Green Gables for myself. The town sounds lovely and it’s been on my bucket-list since I was a child.

*Gallagher Academy. A girls boarding school for spies. Um yeah! I’d love to find all the secret passage-ways, sneak out of the building through an underground tunnel, find the secret library…

*Mr and Mrs. DiNunzio’s house. Mary DiNunzio’s parents are Italian and they have a house with faulty air conditioning and a small fan in a tiny kitchen. However, I would love to eat some of Mrs. DiNunzio’s delicious food and become an adopted member of such a tight-knit and loving family!

*Aunt Eloise’s Apartment. Nancy Drew is one of my childhood besties and Aunt Eloise has become a person I would love to know. First of all, she’s a teacher, something I wanted to be as a kid, second of all, she’s this cool adult who doesn’t harass Nancy except to worry about her well-being, and I just want to meet her and see her apartment 🙂

*Dot’s family home. Dot from the Sammy Keyes Series is Dutch and from Holland. Her family is pretty large, she has HORSES, and her mom cooks these amazing dishes! I love food and horses so I’m going to be content living with her.

*Paris. Paris, oh beautiful Paris! It’s the city of lights, the city of love and the romantic part in me wants to eat in fancy French restaurants, see the beautiful cities, and just immerse myself in the magic of Paris. There is such a thing, right?

*London. London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. London bridge.. er sorry. London is the second city that I can not wait to see one day. I have this weird obsession with British history, the Monarchy, British accents, driving on the opposite side of the road, London cafes, the sometimes dreary weather, etc… I just love it for some reason and any book set there leaves my heart content 😊
