Hello, friends. Welcome back to the blog! Today, I’m going to be reviewing For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing.
I was lucky to get an ARC copy of this book and I was really excited to see how Downing’s latest book would turn out. I read her first book, My Lovely Wife and enjoyed it, so I had some hopes for this one. And Downing definitely did not disappoint.
Just for some disclaimers: All spoilers will be in dropdowns, so you may skip them if you like. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a review, however all opinions and thoughts are my own.
With that out of the way, let’s get started!

Hello friends, I hope you’re doing well! Today, I’m going to be doing my very first review of the year!!
*cue confetti and trumpets*
Seriously, the last proper review I did was in November of last year. I keep making goals to do more reviews, I keep telling myself to do more reviews, and all my books keep judging me silently waiting for me to do reviews, but I just. don’t. do. the. reviews.
I’m fantastic like that.
But don’t worry, today I’m finally going to make good on my self-promise to actually do reviews and give you one today. The book that gets this wonderful honor is The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White.
I had such high expectations for this novel since I remember it being popular on GoodReads for a while. Now, the curious thing is that I can’t remember if it was popular because everyone was one-starring it or five-starring it. I honestly don’t know, but I know I’ve seen that cover a lot, so I kind of expected it to be really good.
Lesson learned. Next time, I’ll pay attention to whether its popularity stems from good or bad reviews.
This is going to be a longer review than usual, but I know you’re positively dying to hear what I have to say. And don’t worry, all spoilers are in dropdowns, so you can skip them if you’d like.
Now, without further ado, let’s get started!

Hey y’all! Welcome back to the blog. It’s been a loonnngggg time since I’ve mentioned what I’m reading so I thought it would be good to just wrap-up all the books I’ve read in the past 4 months.
For the first few months of school, I wasn’t really reading much. But since November or so, I’ve started reading a lot more thanks to many recommendations *cough* some of which were against my will! by some friends. Most of it has been middle grade which is kind of funny to me because I have always been against the idea of reading “kids’ books”. But my opinion has changed and I think middle grade is a pretty fun genre that is kind of innocent and pretty sweet.
I also read quite a few historical fiction novels back in September and one fantasy, so it’s been kind of a diverse mix of genres not really, but let me pretend it was.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at what I’ve been reading!

Good morning friends! I am back today with another book review. I know, a r e v i e w! I haven’t done one since the start of August, which I guess isn’t too bad compared to before (my last review before the one in August was in April…). It just feels like forever since the last time I did one.
Today, I have a review of The Guilty Die Twice by Don Hartshorn. This was a fun and relatively short legal thriller and it made me feel super nostalgic for the genre. I liked some of the characters, really liked the plot, and I thought the ending was both cheesy, but also satisfying.

Hi friends! Welcome back to my first book review since April. Honestly, I’ve pretty much forgotten how to write reviews, and I’ve kind of forgotten how I felt when I first finished reading this book, but here we are. I’m so glad I started taking notes of what I liked and didn’t, otherwise, I probably would never have been able to write this.
Anyway, here I am today with my review of The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, including some pictures and thoughts on her November Cakes recipe. I’m super excited, so let’s jump right in!
