Mid Year Check In: Taking a Look at My 2021 Goals

It’s the middle of the year friends!! Or well, it was 11 days ago, but it’s close enough to still count.

As the title says, today I will be checking in on my 2021 goals and updating them as necessary. It’s probably going to be very necessary as I’m pretty sure I’m failing in most of my goals quite spectacularly. I’m just amazing like that.

For the most part, the year has been rather meh, though I have reached the milestone of finishing high school (!!) which has possibly been the best part of the year. Other than that, I’ve been doing terribly blogging wise, pretty well reading wise, and we won’t even talk about life wise. I’ll just let my failing goals speak for themselves.

Without further ado, let’s get started!

Appreciation for Book Bloggers – Let’s Talk Bookish

This week has gone by in an interesting fashion. All of Tuesday, I thought it was Monday, and all of Wednesday, I thought it was Thursday. And now it’s Friday, and I’m just ready for the weekend to come so my mental clock can reset itself and stop stealing entire days from my mental timeline.

But before that, we have to discuss this week’s topic. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme, hosted by me and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.

Today’s topic is courtesy of myself: appreciation for book bloggers

Every now and then, there seems to be an event that triggers a discussion of whether book bloggers (and sometimes book influencers in general) get the appreciation they deserve. But I don’t think we’ve talked about it in LTB or that I’ve added my two cents in a post of my own, so today, we’ll get to fix both of those mistakes.

Without further ado, let’s get started!

Putting Off Books + How Blogging Has Affected My Reading – Let’s Talk Bookish

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. It is Friday which means it is time for another discussion. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme hosted by me and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.

Today’s topic is: putting off books you actually want to read (suggested by Jillian @ Jillian The Bookish Butterfly)

Thank you so much to Jillian for suggesting this topic. I’m not sure I have much to say about this, so, I’ll be doing another LTB topic that I previously missed in this post as well.

Let’s get started!

Wrapping up the 2020 blogging year + finally setting some goals for 2021

Hey y’all, welcome back! I hope you’ve all been doing well. Today, I’m finally wrapping up the 2020 blogging year and sharing my goals for this year.

Not surprisingly, I didn’t achieve all my goals even if I did come close for some. However, it’s still interesting to see what I did achieve and I’m pretty proud with the overall quality of my posts from last year.

There’s honestly not much else for me to say for this intro, so, without further ado, let’s get started!

Why I Don’t Have BookTube – Let’s Talk Bookish

So…hi!

I really did just pull a disappearing act for a month.

Being busy, not having the motivation to blog, and consistently forgetting to do so is becoming an annoying habit.

But I’m here today! So that’s something. I guess.

Yeah, I know. I’ve really forgotten how to write intros.

I’m not even going to make any optimistic promises or hopes that I’ll be back consistently because who knows. I might disappear yet again. Maybe if I don’t expect myself to return more consistently, I actually will. You know, how you try to trick yourself into doing something by pretending you don’t care, but deep down you actually care?

I really don’t know what I’m doing.

But anyway, I thought I should start catching up by writing last Friday’s post that I missed (and the previous 4 of the previous Fridays are also waiting. Hopefully I’ll post them eventually). I might actually do a double discussion in my next post so I can tackle two topics at once, but it depends on what the topics were. Yeah. I don’t remember. So much stuff is going through my mind that I can’t keep track of it all.

Anywho. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme, hosted by me and the wonderful Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.

Friday, March the 12th’s topic was: Do you run a BookTube? Why/why not?

This was Dani’s topic which was pretty apt considering that she recently started a BookTube! Definitely go check her out and watch her amazing videos! I don’t have a BookTube so I’ll just talk about why I don’t in today’s post.
