In a nutshell, I am: a very tall Muslim teenager who loves Adult and Young Adult mysteries/thrillers, diverse contemporaries, and dark fantasy novels. I also enjoy historical fiction, usually set during the Victorian or World War eras.

About The Blog:

Eternity Books was created in December of 2018 for me to share my reviews and reading adventures, and to socialize with the reader community. Considering the fact that I’m still in university and run this blog alone, I might be a little lax in publishing on a timely basis. However, I hope Eternity Books is here for many years to come!!

Some of my hobbies include:

reading (obviously), blogging (again, obviously), cooking (I love all sorts of cuisines!!), baking (I have a huge sweet tooth), learning new languages (I know Arabic, and I’m working on Spanish!!)

Interesting facts about me:

  • My pronouns are she/her
  • I was born with six fingers (no, I am not an alien, and I currently have only 5, so don’t freak out)
  • Please do not scratch your nails on paper or on the wall around me. It makes me feel sick and super icky.
  • I hate slime. With a passion. It’s the most annoying thing in existence as far as I’m concerned.
  • My favorite color changes with my mood. Currently, my favorites are pastels.
  • I love travelling. But I haven’t traveled anywhere in quite a long time

    Also, you said you hate romance (I do too!), so how do you find appropriate YA books because it seems to me like YA is another name of ‘romance’?

      So, I don’t absolutely hate romance, but yes in YA it is a bit much, and tbh, I don’t really want to be reading so much of it. But I still do anyway. That’s the best thing I’ve ever heard and I totally agree!! YA is pretty much another name for romance nowadays.
      TBH, there aren’t that many YA books I’ve read that don’t have romance. At least, I can’t really think of any right now. Usually, if I’m looking from a break from it, I’ll read Middle Grade or Adult books. Yes Adult books can have “more” content, but not all of them do, and it’s not so annoying like it is in YA (you can also skip it if you would like).
      Some suggestions for YA without romance (lol, I just went to check) are:
      Darius The Great Is Not Okay (it is kind of slow and can be boring, but it’s also rich in Persian culture and it isn’t a bad contemporary)
      The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (I love this book so much!!! It’s a YA political thriller, and there isn’t any romance in it as far as I can remember)
      The Scorpio Races (You can check out my review of it here. Honestly, it is a romance, but I just felt like it was more of a friendship story through most of it, and then it turned into something more at the end)
      The Downstairs Girl (This is a historical YA novel, and it isn’t much of a romance. More focused on family and friendship. I have a review of it here)
      And honestly, that’s pretty much it…yeah, really bad lol 😅

      I’m trying to find more romance free books, and I am trying to move away from YA for a little while, or at least read less of it. So if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!!!

        1. Aww, thank you!! I’m guessing that you mean the background for the header and the “happy reading rukky” graphics? I actually created those myself in this drawing app called Krita (it’s avaliable on computers). It’s really awesome and even if you don’t have a drawing pad, you can still create some cool things 🙂

            1. I’m so sorry I’m just seeing this now. I actually am not sure which brushes I used, but I think maybe Watercolor Texture with some Blenders, probably Blender Smear. I layered different shades of the color as I went, that I’m sure of. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more specific and that I didn’t see this until now ❤
