The Liebster Award #2 – Thank You So Much!!

It’s time for Tag Thursday! Today’s tag (or I guess I should say award) is The Liebster Award! I was tagged by the always and forever amazing Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads. Go check her post and blog out and then come back to finish reading this! I guarantee that you’ll love it!

Thank you so much Meeghan for tagging me!! However, I’m going to be shortening the questions, answers, and nominees to five.

Btw, this is my 100th post!!! YAY me!!!!

Let’s get started!

The Rules:

  1. Acknowledge the blog that gave it to you and display the award
  2. Answer 11 questions that the blogger gives you
  3. Give 11 random facts about yourself
  4. Nominate 11 blogs and notify them of their nomination
  5. Give these blogs 11 questions to answer

Questions:

If you had to describe yourself in three characters, which ones would they be?

Aza Holmes from Turtles All the Way Down by John Green, Josephine March from Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, and I don’t know. A friend of mine says that I am a lot like Inej Ghafa from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo so I guess I’m going to go with that.

What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

Home Alone!!! The first movie and the second one. I LOVED them both and I can always always always always re-watch them! The other two movies were pretty awful in my opinion

How many books are on your TBR?

243 books. And it’s still increasing!

What inanimate object do you wish you could eliminate from existence?

Slime. It’s disgusting, makes me want to puke, and gets everywhere. And once it sticks in the carpet, it sticks. Yuck.

What was the last book you DNF’ed?

Blanca and Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore. I just wasn’t in the mood for it.

5 Facts About Me (just like Meeghan, I think I’ve said some of these before, but there isn’t much to tell so sorry):

  1. I hate nails on paper, or walls, or chalkboards. It is such an irritating sound and makes me feel super uncomfortable.
  2. I was born with six fingers on each hand. Note the was – I now have only 5.
  3. I’m one of those people whose favorite color changes depending on their mood.
  4. I think I’ve said this before, but I don’t know what else to say. I love cooking and baking!
  5. I love love love love landscapes or still lifes, but I’m a pretty horrible painter.

Tagging/Nominating:

Umairah @ Sereadipity | Kat @ Novels and Waffles | Aoife @ Pretty Purple Polka Dots | Ilsa @ A Whisper of Ink | Jaime @ Books and Waffles | and YOU (if you’d like to do it!)

P.S. No pressure. If you don’t want to do the tag. That’s absolutely fine. If you’ve already done it, please share the link so I can check it out!

Your Questions:

I’m going to post the rest of Meeghan’s questions, if you’d like to answer them and some of my own:

Meeghan’s:

1)Which character would you swap lives with?

2)Who is your favorite villain and why?

3)What’s your go-to book recommendation?

4)What was the last book you read that made you cry?

5)Which fictional character do you think would be the most frustrating to meet in real life?

6)What social stigma do you think society needs to get over?

Mine:

1)If you could live in a book, which one would it be?

2)What are some of your other hobbies besides reading and blogging?

3)What’s your favorite snack or drink?

4)What was your last 5 star book?

5)If you could ask an author, who isn’t alive, a question, who would you ask and what would you ask them?

That’s the end of Tag Thursday! Thank you so so so much Meeghan for tagging me!! I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I’ll see you guys next week!

  1. Oh yes Aza! I love that girl ❤ and of course you’re Inej, I’ll always say it 😁
Also, so many Home Alone fans 😂 agreed about the first two installments!
Only 243 books, pfff, add a zero and that’s mine 😛

I really relate to fact 1 & 3, already knew fact 4 with your love for kitchens 😐 and did not/ know fact 2! I’m so glad you’re okay now 💚 (green for your blog, as you so aptly pointed out)

Love your 5th question! How would you answer it yourself?
(I don’t know why my previous comment became a reply to someone else *face palms* would you delete that one?)

    1. You will forever say that, if I think I am or not 😂 I’m glad I’m not the only one disappointed by the last two. They weren’t that great.

I’m very picky when it comes to books and that’s good. 243 books is more read-able than 2430…

      Haha thanks, I’m fine!! 💚

Hmm, I don’t know. Maybe I’d ask Agatha Christie what her number one advice would be for writing amazing mysteries 🙂 Who would you ask and what would you ask them?

      (Yup, sure, already did!)

  2. Thank you for such a lovely throwback to my blog!! 💕
I also love baking and cooking. I’s been so long since I made anything new though (as you can tell by the extreme lack of new recipes on my blog!! 😂)

      1. Maybe? I’m not sure… I have been rebranding the blog as primarily books, but I’ve been hesitant to remove the recipes in case I come back to them. Also, I got rid of a bunch of recipe journals, so this is the only place I have some of my own recipes now!!

  3. WOWOWOW CONGRATS on 100 posts! 💛💛💛 THat’s so exciting! Also, Home Alone is a total classic, so nice choice there. I remember I watched it a lot as a kid, and this last Christmas I rewatched it for the first time in like…FOREVER. And it was still really good.

    1. Thank you so much 💚 (I’ve just realized that my blog is green themed, so I should be using green hearts 😂)

I don’t think Home Alone will ever grow old!! I agree, it is a total classic 🙂 I’m glad you still loved it after so many years!

  4. 6 fingers on each hand? That’s interesting! One related fact about me is that in the womb, my umbilical chord was always wrapped around my neck, but the doctors couldn’t tell, so they just thought I was going to die. But here I am! I’m fine!

I appreciate that you were able to count how many books are on your TBR! I usually say, “It’s a lot!” and just leave it at that! 😂

    1. Haha yes! But my hands are normal now 😂 Oh wow! That must have been terrifying for your parents!! I’m so glad you are okay ❤

LOL, I don’t have many (basically none 😂) physical books to read, so all of it is on GR. Good luck with getting through your huge TBR!!

  5. I’m a Home Alone fan also, and so is my whole family. My granddaughter is now watching them and I’ve now come across a book, I’ve gotten for her and ME. I do have to share this with you as it got me all excited last year and perhaps you know about it but it’s Home Alone: The Classic Story Illustrated Storybook by Jason Rekulak. It’s a fun, entertaining book that has fantastic illustrations for this classic movie, retelling. Condensed, brightly illustrated, engaging storyline and I really like it.
Jason also made a couple other books for other classic movies like Back to The Future and E.T.

    1. The first one is hilarious, but I agree, I think the second one is even more so. Every single time I watch both movies, my jaw aches from the endless amount of laughing and I start to cry-laugh from the pain 😂

I love to bake!! My specialty is bread, which I don’t always make consistently, but when I make it, well, it is delicious. I’ve been getting back to baking though recently after a long break.

      1. Yes they are really funny in places (: and I love watching them every Christmas. I haven’t had that happen jaw wise but they do always make me smile so much 😀

That’s so cool (: I think fresh bread is so much better than the packet variety. Well tbh I won’t actually eat the packet sort, I only occasionally end up having the fresh sort from the supermarket. I have made bread before but not in years. That’s good that you’re getting back into it (: it can be so fun and relaxing to do.

        1. Yes definitely.

Personally, I think so too (because I can add as much sugar as I like 😉). I also get to now what I’m putting in it and make it healthy. Yeah, I love baking for that reason.

    1. Me too!!!! The first two were great, but then I think that last two just went downhill. I think because the plot was the same, it got boring, but it might also be because I missed the actor who played Kevin originally…
