WWW Wednesday #20

Hello my dear friends! I hope you are having a fantastic day! It is time for my weekly reading update, WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words.

The Three W’s are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Let’s get started!

All covers are from Goodreads

What I Just Finished:

I finished Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens in one day after pushing myself to just get through it. It was pretty slow, but I got through and still enjoyed it. I reviewed it here.

The Wicked King by Holly Black. This was so. much. more. enjoyable than The Cruel Prince. I felt much more connected to Jude. I also loved her relationship with Cardan. Review to come.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. This is probably my favorite book so far of 2019. The plot wasn’t anything major, but the characters were awesome. I loved Kaz, and Inej, and Jesper, and Wylan, Nina and Matthias not as much, but still the crew was amazing. Review to come.

My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing. I finished this last week, and though at first I didn’t like The Husband’s POV, I still overall enjoyed the story. The plot, however, was pretty similar to another book I’ve read (I’m not going to spoil it!). Review to come.

What I’m Currently Reading:

I’m 17% into We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal, and so far so good. I feel though that it is a bit cliché and I think I can guess some of the plot twists already, so hopefully it will surprise me.

What I Plan To Read Next:

Next up is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I’ve heard a lot about this so I’m super excited to read it!

That’s it for this Wednesday. What are you reading? Have you read any books by Taylor Jenkins Reid? Let’s chat in the comments below! (Be sure to link to your WWW’s so that I can check them out!)

  1. Funny, I had the opposite reaction. I liked The Cruel Prince more than The Wicked King. xD I’m so looking forward to the Queen of Nothing, though! I’m excited. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve heard really good things about Evelyn Hugo, too, and I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading.

    Here’s my WWW post.
