Top Ten Tuesday – New-to-me Authors I Plan to Read in 2019

Hi friends and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme originally created by The Broke and The Bookish, and is now hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today’s topic is:

New-to-me Authors I Read in 2018.

But I’m twisting it up and doing: New-to-me Authors I Plan to Read in 2019. Since there are authors I didn’t get to read in 2018, here are the ten that I hope I get to in 2019.

Let’s get started!

*Lisa Jewell. I’ve been wanting to read her books ever since her novel, Watching You came out in December of last year.

*Mary Higgins Clark. I’ve been saying that I want to read her books, but I haven’t gotten to them yet. Her books are at the top of my TBR list.

*Tana French. I just found her books a few weeks ago and I’m excited to check out her work.

*Delia Owens. I just recently found Where the Crawdads Sing, and I’m still waiting for my e-book copy!

*Paula Hawkins. I didn’t read The Girl on the Train last year even though I wanted to do, and then I heard about Into the Water. Her books have jumped to the top of my TBR..

*Maureen Johnson. I love the synopsis of her book, Truly Devious, and I want to check out the rest of her work. (The link to her website isn’t working. Here’s her GR page.)

*Melinda Leigh. I love everything Mystery (as you can probably already tell) and I just got introduced to Melinda’s Morgan Dane series. I’m eager to check them out.

*K. L. Slater. She has several thrillers that she’s penned and they are all on my TBR. Hopefully, I’ll get to them before the year ends.

*Karen McManus. I didn’t get to One of Us is Lying last year, and now with another book by Karen that was recently released, I’m ready to catch up on what I’ve missed.

*Holly Black. There is SOOO much hype around The Wicked King, so I’m succumbing to peer pressure (LOL) and reading The Cruel Prince to start the series.

I just realized all the authors on my list are female. What a coincidence 😉

What authors are on your TTT? Let’s chat in the comments below!

  1. I LOVE Tana French. I’ve read all of her books and they’re all great if you like gritty crime fiction. Mary Higgins Clark is kind of the opposite – her books are murder mysteries, but they’re usually very PG. I read her a lot when I was a teen and loved her books. Her newest ones aren’t nearly as good, though. I hope you do get to these authors and that you love them both!

    Happy TTT!
