Hola, amigos y amigas! Welcome to Tag Thursday! Today’s tag is the End of Year Book Tag that I found over @ Pretty Purple Polka Dots. This is very appropriate, considering this is the last Thursday of 2018. Time flies, amirite?

Best Book you’ve read in 2018:
I had two favorite series this year: The Naturals Series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes & Gallagher Girl Series by Ally Carter
Best Sequel you’ve read in 2018:
The Long Game by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (I reviewed the first book here)
New Release you haven’t read, but want to:
I’m so excited to get my hands on Watching You by Lisa Jewell. It was released yesterday!
Biggest Disappointment:
I tried to read The Private School Murders by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro (I didn’t even know it was the second book at the time). I don’t even understand why, but I just couldn’t stand it at all. By the end of the first chapter, I was done.
Biggest Surprise:
SYLO by D.J. MacHale. It’s a Sci-fi thriller and I’m honestly very surprised that I liked it. I’m not a sci-fi person at all and this was amazing to say the least.
Favorite New Author (debut or new to you):
Lisa Scottoline. I’ve read the first two books in her Rosato and DiNunzio series and I’m absolutely hooked.
Newest Fictional Crush:
I don’t have one. (Maybe, Asher?)
Newest Favorite Character:
Iris Anderson from The Girl is Trouble by Kathryn Miller Haines. She’s nice, and her heartbreaking family story is intriguing. (I really love her name as well!)
Book that made you cry:
I don’t think a book has ever made me cry? π€¨π
Update: Actually, the ending of The Long Game by Jennifer Lynn Barnes made me cry π’π’π
Book that made you happy:
Sammy Keyes and the Wild Things by Wendelin Van Draanen. This book had me laughing out loud the whole time! I was smiling and laughing so hard, my mom kept wondering what was wrong with me.
Most beautiful book you bought or received this year:
I haven’t bought a book this year, and sadly I haven’t been given any books. (I prefer e-books, honestly.) However, I really loved this cover:

Cover is from Goodreads – I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh
What books do you need to read by the end of the year:
As of the moment, I only have twelve books on my TBR. On my immediate TBR is: Corrupted by Lisa Scottoline & Guilt by Association by Marcia Clark.
And that’s it for Tag Thursday!
I’m tagging:
Ella @ Ella’s Book Corner
Kay @ Hammock of Books
Kim @ Read With Kim
And anyone else who wants to do it!
Yay! Thank you so much for the tag β‘ I’ve read James Patterson’s Confessions of a Murder Suspect a few years back and I agree, there’s something about it that’s just unlikeable. I can’t even remember what happened in the book, all I know is I didn’t like the protagonist’s personality :p Anyway, SYLO sounds like something I’d really enjoy and I’m adding it to my TBR. Thanks for mentioning it! π

Thanks for the tag β€ β€ Oh gosh, I read The Long Game a year or so ago and the ending absolutely destroyed me!! How is it possible that there's not another sequel/third book in that series??? I must know what happens!!!! Also, PSA: when you tag/link back to someone, you should link a specific post they made, so that they get the notification pingback! If you just link to their main/home page, they won't get a notification and might not see your post!

Your welcome! And I know! I can’t believe that they didn’t do a third book (I even went looking on her website to find out why). I want to know what happens after that CATASTROPHIC ending.
And thank you so much for the tip! I’m glad you saw the post and I’ll make sure to fix that ASAP. πππ
